Celebrated Aussie comic, former triple j presenter, and star of the hit series The Other Guy, Matt Okine, is bringing his critically acclaimed stand-up show We Made You back to the stage for a limited run of encore dates.
It comes in the wake of what’s been a massive year for Okine, since leaving his post as triple j’s breakfast presenter in 2016.
Through The Other Guy, Okine proved he was a creative and comedic force to be reckoned with. Both creating and starring the series, it proved a hit amongst Australian audiences.
As for We Made You, the show is a hilarious ode to the fans and listeners that got Okine to where he is today.
“Basically, it’s me saying, ‘You made me,’ to all the people who listen to the radio,” Okine told us back when the show was running as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
“It’s not just in a profile-raising way, the contribution of people listening really made our show. Without listeners, we were nothing – we were just two idiots in a box.”
