Crafternoon

Why should we engage in more activity-based socialising? When you create something with friends, you’re not only having a good time together – you’re improving skills, learning about each other and learning about yourself.

What do we get to experience? When you walk in to Crafternoon the first thing you’ll notice is the ceiling – sky blue with hundreds of floating pieces of art left by past customers. An arts and crafts table is by the door filled with feathers and glitter galore. The floor is a glass sea of pictures with bright, colourful paintings and characters. Our playful, friendly staff will take you to a table and explain the menu, which starts with the craft options. Ordering craft is as simple as ordering breakfast or a coffee.

When was Crafternoon born? I saw a need for a place where adults can get in touch with their creativity in an environment they felt comfortable in. I had been working in a corporate environment for many years and felt that I was losing a little bit of myself because I wasn’t being as creative any more.

How does Crafternoon foster a sense of community? We definitely go out of our way to be as inclusive as possible and our team plays the biggest part in creating that. Crafternoon is a place where all people from anywhere can come to have a good time together. Our menu includes vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten free options, we’re wheelchair friendly, child friendly and queer friendly.
