Count Basie Orchestra To Hit Hamer Hall
Tap your feet to some generation spanning swing as the legendary Count Basie Orchestra take to the stage at Hamer Hall this October.
In a strictly limited run of shows, veteran drummer Dennis Mackrel directs the 18-piece orchestra, which brings together instrumentalists from the upper echelons of the international jazz world. Continuing the musical traditions of the late Count, the orchestra includes John Williams, Clarence Banks and James Leary. Carmen Bradford will appear as special guest vocalist.
The Orchestra will perform at Hamer Hall on Wednesday October 10. Tickets may be purchased through the Arts Centre Melbourne.
