Coming Soon: The largest tattoo festival in the Southern Hemisphere hits Melbourne

Rites of Passage Tattoo Festival is back for another year, arriving as the largest celebration of tattoo culture in the Southern Hemisphere.

Featuring over 250 of the finest tattoo artists from Australia and across the globe, the weekend-long festival will feature seminars, the Miss Rites of Passage Competition, a self-contained food truck festival, muscle cars and customised Harley Davidsons, and a hell of a lot more.
Of course, the main reason you'll be heading there is for the ink. Naturally, Rites of Passage has got that in spades. Artists will be on deck throughout the weekend, all specialising in their own styles. In an added bonus, booth bookings can be made easily by searching through their website and clicking on the profile of your favourite.
Daily Tattoo competitions include Best Polynesian, Best Dots and Line, Best Neo Traditional, Best Lettering, Best Collaboration Tattoo, the lauded Tattoo of the Show and more.
Capping it off comes a huge tattoo competition that will see five rounds, five shows and one winner take home $10,000 cash - as well as a one-year sponsorship from Eternal Ink - in the first competition of its kind in Australia.

Rites of Passage Tattoo Festival goes down on April 7, April 8 & April 9 at the Royal Exhibition Building.
