Russell Peters kicks off the Australian leg of his Deported World Tour heading to Perth in early February 2018 before reaching eastern states. The show features new material as well as Peters’ signature interactions with the audience.

“I love getting to know my audience,” says Peters. “It’s a collaboration between us. Australia was the first country to embrace me internationally when I started my solo tours in 2006. They’re not politically correct and are able to laugh at our so-called differences.”

Peters last toured Australia in 2015 to sold-out arenas. His last tour travelled to over 26 countries with more than 200 performances.

His return to touring follows taking time off stage to film his latest Netflix special Almost Famous in April 2016. Since then he has produced and acted in The Indian Detective, a comedy-drama on Netflix for which he worked with Anupam Kher (The Big Sick, Silver Linings Playbook), William Shatner (Star Trek), Christina Cole (Suits, Casino Royale) and Mishqah Parthiephal (Keeping Up with the Kardashians). The series airs on Netflix in December.

Peters has releases coming up for several films he was involved in including The Clapper with Amanda Seyfried, Supercon with John Malkovich and Public Schooled with Judy Greer.

Joining Peters on this tour is Jake Johannsen, one of David Letterman’s favourite comics, who always has new weird stories to share.
