The Chinese Ballet's Peony Pavilion

The Peony Pavilion, China’s answer to Shakespeare’s tale of love, fate and rivalry will be dancing en point to our shore later this month. 

The National Chinese Ballet will be performing the classic and cherished Chinese tale The Peony Pavilion combining Western Ballet with Chinese traditional dance. Similar to Romeo and Juliet, the ballet depicts the triumph of love over death.

The Peony Pavilion will be performed in the State Theatre from Thursday March 15 - 18.
