Washed Away With Kozyndan

Outré Gallery will be hosting LA art team kozyndan on a three city tour of Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.
When Kozy left Japan to study art in California she met Dan, forming the artistic duo kozyndan (geddit? Kozy 'n' Dan?) who now travel the world with their panorama pieces known to be filled with chaos and beauty.
The pair is probably most famous for their art piece Uprisings, a play on Hokusai's Great Wave off Kanagawa which filled the renowned piece with white bunnies.
Entitled Washed Away, their new exhibition touring Australia is based on the pair's love of the ocean. While the works incorporate both Kozy and Dan's experience with the ocean, it also maintains a cultural criticisim of how society treats the marine world.
kozyndan's collection of waves and water becom even more notable considering the recent natural disasters in Japan.
Outré Gallery will be hosting kozyndan's Washed Away in Melbourne between April 30 and May 22.
