The Birdmann At The Butterfly

Infamous comic variety artist The Birdmann will begin the new year with a show at Melbourne's The Butterfly Club.

Entitled Birdmannia, the show guarantees fanatical interest and illogical commotion, displaying virtuosic talents with a visual edge.

Arriving in Melbourne fresh from the Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland, The Birdmann plans to deliver a left of field and intriguingly fun evening to his audience, with a fusion of visual comedy, vaudeville, witty monologues and eccentric mime.

For the last decade, this Melbourne-based artist has travelled the world to perform, from Edinburgh Fringe to the New York Underground Circuit, developing a distinct genre of his very own.

At the New York Burlesque Festival, The Birdmann was the only artist to be given a standing ovation.

If you want to hear unusual facts and see unique feats including plastic bag-juggling, object balancing, knife throwing, escapology and nostril tea-drinking moments of magnificence, then this act is for you!

The Birdmann will fly at the Butterfly Club, 204 Bank St South Melbourne on January 13-15. Entertainment begins at 9pm. Book your tickets now at thebutterflyclub.com. $27 full, $24 concession, $23 groups (8 or more).
